Creating Your 2007

January 6th, 2007 by Ashta

The movies “What the Bleep” and “The Secret” must be seen. If you’re one who hasn’t seen these films, it’s time to get moving. You can easily rent or purchase ”What the Bleep” (the new edition with added features and more interviews), and you can either watch or purchase “The Secret” at thesecret.tv/ ($5 USD to view the movie, $35 USD to purchase). Be sure to go through all the interviews on “The Secret” too. There is also a book based on “The Secret” which is quite good; all those sumptuous quotes are in it so you can go over them in any order at any time in the quiet of your reading chair.

You can also view a 27 minute PBS interview with Dr. Joe Dispenza made available by Lost Arts Television on YouTube: Joe Dispenza.  Also available on You Tube courtesy of Lost Arts is the interview with “What the Bleep” producer and director, William Arntz: William Arntz.

It is time to get that front lobe of the brain working for you and engage yourself in being pro-active in an even more positive, fulfilling experience of your life.  An acquaintance with a few of the basic ideas in quantum physics will help too.

Spirituality and science have merged. It’s not that it hasn’t always been so, but now it’s becoming common knowledge, and it’s up to each of us to be informed and use the information to create more peace, compassion, fulfillment, and happiness in our personal lives and in our world. Our Earth and its inhabitants can use all the help we can offer.

What will you do with your 2007?  Have you written your goals, are you visualizing and feeling the emotions of their expression and fulfillment?  Be consistent, manage your thoughts and emotional state, live in the Now as much as possible, and believe in yourself!

May your dreams and goals for 2007 come to you with ease, grace, and happiness!

Flickr

December 8th, 2006 by Ashta

My photos on Flickr are here: Apple Crisp. There are many sets of shots which can easily be navigated.  For instance, I have a set called “Mala,” another on “Prayer Flags,” a set on Lama Wangdor’s visit to Mt. Shasta in 2005, a Mt. Shasta set, a Russell Guitars set, and so on.  I started a group called “Mala” also, and a Flickr friend hosts one called “Prayer Flags.” In that group you will see fantastic photos of prayer flags from all over the world.

So much can be learned by sharing photos and ideas with others on Flickr.  There is also a wealth of information for photographers of all levels.  And Flickr can be used for research, which is an aspect I take advantage of frequently.  Choose your topic and search in various ways to mine the gold.  You can search discussions, photos, or groups.  Sometimes there is an entire group of photos dedicated to exactly what you are interested in.  Flickr is free, and for $25 a year, you get more features - worth every penny and more.

Try a search on “meditation” or “Tibet” or “India” or “spirituality” and see what you find.  You will be inspired by the photos, descriptions, details, and commentary shared.  For those who wish to work on the technical aspect of their photography, there are many groups created for certain cameras, for photographic techniques, or for learning specific software.

I highly recommend Flickr and will see you there if you decide to join.  You do not have to be a photographer, by the way.  You can join to have easy access to the abundance of photos and information there - be able to organize and save your finds - and just enjoy it as a viewer.

Now

December 4th, 2006 by Ashta

The truth of who you are is right here and always was. You have just overlooked it. It is never apart from you; it is never anywhere but here. You are it and you swim in it! You are this most beautiful light and energy; you always have been and always will be. At this very moment, stop, just take a mindful breath, in and out, with awareness, and feel your aliveness. Let aliveness fill you; allow it to be as it actually is, alive and full and in every molecule and particle and wave of your being. Let everything go, every thought of who or what you thought you were or what you thought it was all about. Just be, just sink into being, sink into Now. Allow yourself to relax, to sink into yourself, to fall into Now. Now.

Oneness

November 30th, 2006 by Ashta

“Whether I am conscious of it or not, I am one with the cause of all that exists. Whether I know it or not, I am one with all the love in the universe.”

Conscious Space

November 29th, 2006 by Ashta

I am the Awareness between thoughts … and so are you. All the thoughts you think you are, are ephemeral and insubstantial. Thoughts suddenly appear and then dissolve into conscious space. What is real is conscious space - how amazing! Thoughts have their function and use, but they are not who you really are. You are the vast, shining essence of Energy, of Being. You are the consciousness between and behind and through thought and all apparent manifestation.  Thoughts are made of this essence, as all is.  All reduces to this essence, this conscious space, this luminous emptiness. It is the ground of all being.

Thanksgiving

November 24th, 2006 by Ashta

Gratitude!
…for life, for breath, for being alive this moment
…for love, family, friendship
…for consciousness, for creativity
…for learning, exploration, understanding
…for experiences, discoveries, new horizons
…for skills, talents, gifts
…for this life of wonder
…for the energy of being and the simplicity and purity of Now.

Meditation

November 21st, 2006 by Ashta

The key to meditation is to do it. Spend time each day being completely still and quiet. Set your world aside for a few minutes, go inside and look, feel, and listen in a surrendered and open state. Allow Presence to reveal itself. Of course Presence is present; how could it not be? It is the bottom line truth of who we are; it is the energy of Life. Our directive in meditation and ultimately in our everyday reality is to become conscious of this Presence and to more and more live our lives from this consciousness.

Identity

November 16th, 2006 by Ashta

All reduces to Energy, or Intelligent Presence. This is the true Identity. The chaos, confusion, greed, fear, aggression, and pain of the world is due to mistaken identity. Living in peace, harmony, and fulfillment is dependent upon resolving identity confusion.
